Hello my beauties! I am WAY behind on my blogging…I have moved to Denver, CO. and will be blogging from Denver, FOR Denver and LA:)
so lets get to it!
It is SUMMER!!!! the season we all wait for and all fear…for the sake of swimsuit season and bearing almost all.
Tanning has become obsolete with all the self tanners and gradual tanning lotions out there, we now have to option to be bronze with out the damage the sun embarks on our skin. BUT, these products can leave some zebra striped, orange and ashy giving away out most precious pampering secret or faux sun worshiping. below are my FAVE products and insider tips to looking like you spent the weekend in Rio, when really you just spent some time in your own bathroom.
Step by Step:
Exfoliate your whole body I like Bliss Hot Salt Scrub, it is self heating which will open your pores helping the self tanner to set deep, you can also grab some Honey and Sugar and make a paste and use that to exfoliate…smells great and saves money:)
Dry off COMPLETELY
chose your self tanner, I LOVE Mystic Tan spray, Bliss: A Tan for all Seasons or Urban decay Santa Tanita Moose. I prefer the spray or mouse formula, lotions are difficult to gage even coverage.
Before you begin the application, put a light layer of Vaseline on your finger nails and toe nails, this will stop the color from getting into your cuticles and nail beds. Take some of your daily moisturizer and lightly apply to your knees and elbows.
Stand in your shower or bath tub, if using a spray hold the nozzle 6 inches away from your body. start at your toes and work your way up DO NOT RUB IN!!!! just spray evenly over your entire body and let it dry, keep your arms at a distance from your body. Do not get dressed until your skin is dry.
If you are using a Moose or lotion start at your toes, and have a friend close by to get your back;)
the next day:
Apply a moisturizer like Mystic tans Glow, it will help prolong your tan.
If you don't like self tanners AT ALL, use a body bronzer, like Napoleon Perdis' Whipped Dream bronzer. It smells AMAZING, and adds a temporary bronze glow, and washes off in the shower.
now you know, so get out there and get your bronze on!!!
TA TA!
