As explained previously – I'm over at the Focus Tradeshow this week, blogging away in our Two Point Oh! LA Blogger Lounge – more on that later.
Today saw the Contemporary Runway show on the Focus floor – and a fab selection of contemporary womenswear from select CMC showrooms was presented.
Iron Fist
Iron Fist is a fun "tattoo inspired" line that is successfully avoiding the Ed Hardy route, providing trendy and creative streetwear that's fun and wearable without looking like a douchebag.
Miilla
Miilla was a fave of the day – I loved the laidback cool that was kept chic with fluid lines and crisp fabrics. I was particularly fond of the white shirt, the maxi dress and the shrug cardi with faux fur detailing.
Musani Couture
These show stopping gowns from Musani Couture were greeted with resonating "ooh and ahh's" as they made their way down the runway. I need the silver dress with the cap sleeves in my life in some shape or form…I'm thinking Snowball 2011…?
I loved these lacy almost 30's inspired dresses, from Nataya, very bohemian and still with elements of luxe, in the beading, embroidery and fabrics. The first dress would mix perfectly in my current wardrobe for spring and translate through fall perfectly.
Voom by Joy Han
Voom by Joy Han brought back her signature prints in a decidedly spring-like fall collection, perfect for a SoCal winter paired with layers and chunky knits.
Stay tuned for more updates!
I love the beige fur knit sweater
Hi,
Thanks for your support :)
We had such as great time. And I have to admit, our white collar button down is my favorite too. I have the purple one!
