Georgetown Cupcake (of DC Cupcakes fame) is coming to Los Angeles.

This is very good news. Very good indeed. To celebrate and pre-empt their arrival, they, very kindly, sent me some to sample. I say "some", but in reality "some" was tantamount to 24 whole cupcakes which was tantamount to at least 6lbs of weight gain which was tantamount to a new addiction.

These are some yummy cupcakes. I realize this is sacrilige in the fashion blogging world, but I'm not the biggest cupcake fan, the frosting generally is sickly and I can rarely finish a whole one. Georgetown is different though. The frosting is perfect – and not piled high, but the best part – which I understand is a cupcake rarity – is the cake. Perfectly flavoured and perfectly fluffy.

I'm quite comfortable admitting that these are some of the best cupcakes I've ever had. I cannot wait for their West Coast debut!

And great. Now I'm hungry again.
