The Little Black Dress (LBD). Popularized by Coco
Chanel in the 1920's, the LBD has been a MAJOR staple to any woman's wardrobe
for years. The question is, do you have one?
I have, like, five LBD's. Not becasue I am obsessed with LBD's as much as
I am just obsessed with black. People ask me every now and then if I was
ever gothic, my wardrobe is on such a noir overload. As I looked at these five
LBD's hanging in my closet, I realized none of them actually met the criteria
of a "classic". They were all too tight, or too short, or too ruffly
or too 90's to make the cut as a classic.
So now I have a LBD on my aquisitions check list. It needs to be modest,
flattering, able to be worn to work during the day, and then transformed into
something glamorous at night. The fabric needs to be quality and the cut
needs to be superb. After all, this is the one dress you are supposed to
wear and cherish for the rest of your life. haha.
Consider if you are, like I am, missing the perfect piece.
