Bloggers at work
The final chapter of my Fashion's Night Out festivites, ended with the biggest bang of all. Blogger's Cafe, a joint venture with Two Point Oh LA and Fashion Los Angeles came to The Grove, taking over the Park to offer styling tips from top LA stylists, makeovers from MAC and nibbles and wine courtesy of the Whisper Lounge all hosted by none toher than..yours truly.
It was an honour to head up the festivites, warm up the crowd and introduce all our wonderful stylists.
The first style expert to kick off the night was Margaret Sche, as one LA's premier trend forecasters, she was prompted to begin chronicling her process via her site The Sche Report after visiting the shows in Europe and New York. We were priveldged to have her for the night sharing with the audience her top ten Fall trends, expertly styled into five looks.
Her tips for the night included: military style, maxi lengths, layering, metallics, fur, and leather and featured The Gap, Barney's Co-op and Theodore. All items pictured above are available at these Grove stores.
Reah Norman of Plus Model Magazine and a specialist in plus sized styling, joined forces with stylist Bree Cooley of Stylist Diva. Together they translated top Fall trends for the full figured woman featuring looks from The Gap. These women looked impeccable, and Reah and Bree together with our stunning models successfully proved that beauty and style doesn't begin and end with a size 2.
Mid show, I chanelled my inner Cat Deeley, and hosted an audience style challenge. Audience members joined me on stage to have their outfits judged by our rowdy crowd. The competition came down to the wire, between Heather Petrey of LA Fashion Snob, who created her own dress from Fashion's Night Out Los Angeles t-shirts and uber stylish, Karen Lacanilao of Fashion Groupie. Karen won by a small (screaming) margin and took home a gift set from Kiehls.
Our winner: Karen Lacanilao of Fashion Groupie

Kallah Maguire, of The Emerald Scarab, a phenomenal LA based image consultant took to the stage with Fashion Los Angeles' own, Kendra Leese Martin to demonstrate how to simply take a look from day to night in a few easy steps.
Working with a modern silk dress from Barney's Co-op, the look began with a colourful necklace, leopard print flats, a vintage belt and an easy cardigan. Kallah transformed the look, onstage, switching the colourful necklace for a more dramatic style, removing the belt, switching the flats to high heeled booties and switiching the cardi for a rocker style, cropped leather jacket.

I offer my support to a tipsy mannequin
Our final expert of the night was Kadi prescott of the Girly Gazette, as a mother of seven she is a very busy lady, and yet still manages to balance motherhood with looking fab. As a strong believer that motherhood should only make you more fabulous, her styling tips were priceless to any mothers, or wannabe mothers in the audience.
After the show the crowds gathered inside Nordstrom to catch a glimpse of Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, not one for hoards of screaming teenagers I made a quiet exit, only to discover I had some fans of my own that wanted my photograph, quite a surreal experience! Pictured above is my personal fangirl (aka dear friend) Cuit and myself hiding from the paps! Ha!
All in all a fabulous time was had, and a big thank you goes out to The Grove, Fashion Los Angeles, the wonderful stylists, models and assistants and all our dear Two Point Oh LA members who made an appearance – thanks!!
