Los Angeles based designer, Alana Hale, was one of my favourite stops on my rushed day around the LA Markets (something I usually give a week to..crammed into one day – oh my!)
The collection is everything I like to to think about myself, exuberantly feminine with a rock and roll edge, and is self described as a juxtaposition between 18th Century French decadence and the rock and roll landscape of Los Angeles. Spot on really.
With a muted palette with punches of rich colour, such as blood red and jet black and a combination of soft silks, reptilian leathers and something you all know I love, feathers, this collection exudes everything there is love about LA fashion and the city itself, from soft and sweet to grit and glamour. It's a small, well edited collection that honestly leaves you salivating for more please sir…and hopefully that desire will be satiated as Hale plans to expand her line..sooner rather than later please Alana!
