After a few champagnes and some animated conversation we headed back down to the ballroom for the Fremont show. The show was short but very sweet and a complete breath of fresh air. As someone who has been struggling with the harsher trends of this fall I've been excited to a softness on the catwalks again from Spring/Summer 2009. Fremont really delivered. A perfect mix of feminine styling, modern with a nod to the depression era (much like we saw on the New York catwalks) and a frivolity borrowed from the wealthy English countryside had me oo-ing, ah-ing and gasping about how much I wanted to own these clothes.
Really gorgeous, elegant, and beautifully constructed I sincerely think Fremont is one to watch.
