Last week during market week I popped by the Designers and Agents show at the New Mart only to find some fantastic new discoveries. My favourite of which was the lovely Samantha Pleet whose line practically could have been designed for me. Gorgeous feminine and quirky dresses and rompers are the key items in this line, each with their own unique detailing. The dress pictured above is part of her Spring 2010 collection, it's separated at the waist – but designed so it does not show your belly – phew (for me at least!) The fall line has more of the same with a more wintery palette, some great plaids and some fab shorts – she even has a cute shoe line!
I adore the vintage styling of the garments that are still made with the modern lady in mind. Absolute perfection. Check out some more of her work on her site – I hope to showcase more in the future.
Des Artistes is a t-shirt line based in Germany that works with international artists to create unique t-shirts. I was very impressed by the unusual prints and the beautiful cut of the t-shirts themselves. The t-shirts are eco-friendly made with organic and sustainable fabrics and even eco friendly inks. The latest collaboration is with Ai Weiwei, is limited edition and proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). A very innovative company with a fantastic idea.
I loved these cute bracelets from Dillon Rogers (and their sales rep definitely gets a shout out as she was adorable and peppy!) All handcrafted in Los Angeles, they have a great seventies boho vibe. They also design a line of handtooled and stamped belts using vintage leather stamps, including a gorgeous California one!
I'm a huge Calleen Cordero fan – without even ever owning a pair! Last Designers and Agents show I rushed past the booth with little time to spare and fell in love then and there so it was nice to revist and take a little more time with the collection. All of the shoes, bags and accessories are handmade in California and there is painstaking attention to detail. How beautiful are these boots? (pictured above) I need them for fall!
Having been a Sage perfume wearer in the past I was already a convert, but it was nice to see the full range and meet the creator, Sage, herself. I used to wear the signature scent 'Sage' all the time (so much so that along with Creed's 'Silver Mountain Water' it's the only perfume I've ever finished a whole bottle of)
The scents are feminine, unusual and the packaging is stunning, vintage inspired and would look beautiful on anyone's dressing table. If you haven't heard of (or smelled) Sage's perfumes before I highly recommend it!
Dannijo has definitely had the blogosphere abuzz the past couple of months and I was excited to visit their booth and see why. I loved the vibrancy of these ultimate statement necklaces, perfect for the bohemian, indie girl who still loves her bling. Like Cleopatra in Chucks. Perfection and I'm in love.
