Obviously these photos were taken pre-fashion blogger posing skills (now I generally don't look like I'm about to..you know…on the floor), way back when in the year 2006, after a mere six weeks in this amazing city. Complete with rock star date (yes that's Charo's son….) I threw my very own Oscar viewing party at The Standard in Hollywood (yes I've always thrown fancy events…ha)

I wore a vintage dress and was completely enamoured with the glitz and glamour, but still found myself announcing that when (notice not if…) I was nominated for an Oscar, I would take the bus to the ceremony..!

This was my first and last Oscar party – every single Oscar weekend since I have found myself working (and blogging my "opinions" on the red carpet) until now… this time I've pushed work aside (responsibly) for the fun and glamour of the Oscars.

My long weekend begins tomorrow at the ever fun Kari Feinstein Style Lounge, followed up on Friday with a day of pampering at the QVC Red Carpet pampering suite, followed by the QVC Red Carpet Party (watch it live kids!) and ending with a bang with a super, super exciting project!

I have been selected to be a part of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Force led by Brad Goreski! Stay tuned as I run around town (sorry be "driven" around town – there goes my bus theory – apparently won't even catch it to a viewing party…) this Sunday style spotting on the wonderful streets of the City of Angels/Dreams/Awesome. I'll be tweeting along the ride and updating here whenever I hit up some WiFi – so watch this space, it'll be a fun one.

I'll be ending the night with the exclusive Mercedes Benz Oscar viewing party at Soho House where you can expect my usual Red Carpet judgments via Twitter!
