Paris Couture week is the stuff dreams are made of, and yes, my dreams are made of yards and yards of frothy yellow tulle (thank you Christian Dior!) and whilst it all looked gorgeous on the models that graced the runways….I want to see it on the red carpet! So with no furthur ado, here's my Oscars Couture Wish List:
Mila Kunis, you've checked every box this award season (including Natalie Portmans) let's make it a full house with Elie Saab? Please?
Ah Nicole Kidman, I feel like you've been phoning it in recently, I know you're married, there's babies involved, but have you forgotten that you were once the queen of the red carpet? Let's have Christian Dior re-ignite that fire eh?
Natalie Portman, not to seem callous, but I wish you'd hurry up and drop that sprog, your pregant fashion choices thus far have been abysmal, let's put an end to all that in Chanel, just in time for the Oscars…you'll probably win, so let's leave the glued on flowers and bridesmaid satins at home, ok?
I love you Amy Adams, quite frankly I love all pretty red heads, I also love Elie Saab. See what I've done there? Match. Made. In. Heaven.
Please Miss Bonham-Carter – avec the headpiece? And you can wear mismatched shoes too. And I'll still love it. Thanks in advance from me and Christian Dior.
Go on Julianne Moore. Just cause. You're the only one who can. Armani Privé beckons.
Dear Angelina. You have lots of children, and you still make good dress choices (but apparently forget to do your hair), but can we sex it up a bit please? Elie Saab is keeping it pretty and sparkly, and so you. Do it!
Ah Hailie Steinfeld, you've done so well for a first timer, perfect in fact. Let's complete the set with some Oscar oomph courtesy of Christian Dior.
Michelle Williams, I actually liked the daisy adorned Valentino number, but I'm thinking this is going to be a great way to redeem Michelle + Flowers in the rest of the worlds eyes, thanks to the wonder that is Elie Saab.
Jennifer Lawrence, I think you're quite the minx, and you look good in a bold colour, but I think your Oscar de la Renta choice for the SAG's was a little too austere, perhaps something softer, and sexy enough for your feisty side. Oui? Elie Saab then?
So that's it. You can tell I'm utterly fawning over Christian Dior and Elie Saab – dreamy, dreamy, dreaminess… and now back to working on my own red carpet project, have you visited the GRAMMY Style Studio blog yet? No? GO!

I love this post. im generally tired of awards posts but you’ve injected some much needed originality and humor into it :) bravo!!
You are more fair than me. Due to my obsession, I would have put Dita Von Teese into every dress. Hee.
xoxo
Thanks Fuyume! That means a lot!
Oooh yeah! She would look amazing in all of them!
