Last day of Christmas shopping yesterday, and I'm sensible enough to have gotten all my Christmas shopping completed already, with the exception of the food and some stocking stuffers for Mr Style, so I there was some errand running and crowd beating to be had.
I opted for my stretchy jeans and a vintage inspired blouse I picked up in England from Primark – that I totally forgot I purchased. I actually hate that I forget I purchased something. It's a pretty awful trait – but in my defense I unpacked from England and in my excitement to wear it threw it in a bag for a shoot I was doing – and there it remained until I started tidying my room. A case of out of sight, out of mind, more than anything.
Anyway – this used to be one my absolute favourite ways to do my hair back in the day. I hadn't done it forever but was feeling suitably inspired after reading The Wayward Daughters blog for hours yesterday. I call it Boho Victory Rolls. It's so simple to do:
1) Centre part your hair.
2)Take the front section of hair from the part and twist it towards the back following your hairline. Pin it in place and repeat on the otherside.
3) You can leave it like this (with extra pins) for a looser look or you can do like I did and secure it into a low ponytail.
4) Now here comes the fun bit (I used to love doing this as a kid!) make a hole in the hair right above your ponytail holder. Lift up the ponytail and poke it through the hole. Et voila!
The picture of the back is messier than it usually looks – but these were taken after running around all day!
What I Wore: Jeans: Courtesy of Lee Jeans, Shoes: Topshop, Blouse: Primark, Vest: Forever 21.
Ok – I'm off to enjoy my Christmas Eve!
