I'm BAA-ACK. Hahah.
Man, I have some catching up to do. I don't even look like this anymore. I haven't for weeks. I've been working hard, and I managed to get a vacation in too, hence the blog-silence, but I have lots to share.
This was snapped, waaay back in April when I had the privilege of joining Yeardley Smith (yes, Lisa Simpson!) at her L.A office for gown wednesdays and a peek at her Fall 13 collection for Marchez Vous.
The collection was quirky, whimsical and filled with 40's and Victoriana inspirations. The heels are a great height (not like the ridiculous ones I'm wearing in this pic) and the shoe beds have some uber fancy NASA designed foam to keep them comfy. I'm obsessed with the grey and red oxfords pictured above. <3
I wore a new dress from indie British label 18 and East – I discovered them on ASOS Marketplace, where we have our LA Fashion Council boutique. I love its late Thirties early Forties vibe, what you can't see in the pictures is the beading and embroidery. So pretty.
I'll leave you with these pictures with so much more to come over the next few weeks (including the blog unveil of the new "do"!)
These shoes were not comfy. But they are beautiful, the heel is a true stilletto – thinner than a pencil (They're Vicini and I've had them for years, they're in perfect condition because I've worn them maybe 5 times in a decade…)
These shoes however, look like they'd be remarkably comfy (and they'd be lovely with my dress too…)
Dress: 18 and East, Shoes: Vicini
Some inspiration on the walls of Yeardley's office.
