Thursday night saw the launch of LAFW – Two Point Oh! A party (now to be series of parties…an organisation if you will) hosted by bloggers for bloggers to kick off fashion week.
This was a brainchild of mine about six weeks ago. Feeling a little divisiveness within the blogging community and feeling a little without a blogging community in Los Angeles (made all the more obvious by the friendships I was witnessing many other bloggers form at NYFW with events such as the IFB Conference) it was with part curiosity and part jealousy (of the NYFW attendees) that I organised LAFW – Two Point Oh!

The event went swimmingly we had massive turn out, and found ourselves having to turn potential guests away days before the party – something I want to avoid having to do next time. The group that found themselves at the event were wonderful (and stylish) and it was fabulous to be able to connect with so many other bloggers, especially the many that I had formed online relationships with but had spent little to no 'real life' time with. It gave everyone a chance to feel like they were part of something as opposed to be swimming in the vast unknown territory known as the 'blogosphere' Oh dear I'm being quite the drama queen…

The party was held at the Broadway Bar in Downtown LA. It's a charming bar with a real 'old school' Los Angeles feel and it lights up Broadway like it's supposed to be. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous, just adding to the fun of the event.
The attendees were glamorous and of course stylish and a lot of fun. Each took home a goodie bag filled with, well, goodies. Ballet flats from Spare Pear, sunglasses from Angel Eyewear, hair & body wash from Tonic, skincare from Golden Path Alchemy, pomade from 'My Name is Product' notebooks from 'Carolina Pad', nail lacquer from China Glaze, perfume from Natori, a shower sweet from Bauble Bath, a t-shirt from XCVI with an XCVI bag to carry it all! Lucky ducks non?
Since the event was such a huge success we are already planning the next one…seen as the next season feels to far away we've decided to meet it halfway this summer with a 'LAFW – Two Point Oh – Halftime Picnic!' details will most certainly follow soon so stay tuned!

So great to meet you! I’m excited to have been a part of this and really look forward to future minglings, gatherings and general fun times with you and the rest of the ladies.
I really loved your one shoulder top and the way your paired it with the poufy skirt.
See you tomorrow night at GenArt! (I think I gave you a business card, so feel free to text/call. If not, let me know and I’ll send you my info).
