In what appears to have been a cloned sea of fashion bloggers doing stars and stripes, if you weren't wearing a Unif flag shirt or flag painted cut offs you may as well have gone naked (adding a whole new level of irony to my stars and stripes post) I'm glad I stayed away from anything overtly patriotic for this 4th of July.

As much as I joke about being a "dedicated follower of fashion" the last thing I actually want to be is a follower of anything ;)

I opted for classic in, what is now my favourite dress (remember when I wrote about it here?), from ASOS, chanelling Julia Roberts a la Pretty Woman in her post hooker moments. I paired it with gold sandals courtesy of Seychelles and my amazing green satchel (purchased on Ebay here) and a very messy fishtail braid (my new go to…I may post a tutorial…)

Not a red, white or blue in sight…my finger nails being the obvious exception ;)
