Pavement Princess: Rainy Days

With Los Angeles apparently expecting the worst storm in a decade, this coat from Tulle arrived in the nick of time – perfect for a warm frolic in the rain!

I love the vibrancy of the berry colour, it reminds me so much of my favourite coat when I was a teenager – a coat that remains in my childhood home, folorn, alone and far too small for me to ever wear again. Sad, poor coat…ha, oh well, HELLO new coat! What makes this coat super special (aside from it's memory lane qualities) is the cute rounded collar, the perfect length (long but not drowning) and the amazing anchor buttons.

It was love at first sight!

As I've alluded to in the past few posts, I've had my haircut, I'm very pleased – the blunt bangs were too much to deal with, were making me look heavier than I'm supposed to and quite frankly I missed my face. Fortunately my hair grows fast enough that the painful growing out period was over quickly – and thanks to the handiwork of my magic hairdresser (Erica at The Beauty Box – see this post for details) it's now fixed with the perfect sweeping side bangs – yay. But what do you think? Do you miss the blunt bangs, more than you missed my face – haha?

Anyhoo, away from my narcissism for a moment  to, erm, some more narcissism…What I'm Wearing!:

Coat: Courtesy of Tulle, Skirt: Forever 21, Top: Miss Selfridge (aons ago), Clip On Bow Tie: Vintage, Ring: Handmade, Shoes: Topshop, Umbrella: Totes via Target

P.S – It's really hard to get in focus pictures in the rain…especially when the target keeps jumping!

That coat is so cute, too bad Tulle’s “XL” is an 8-10!
8-10 is a MEDIUM in the real world!

Aw – I’ve found them to be fairly accurate compared to most places – I’m an 8-10 and this is a large and is a touch on the big side. Better than other places where I can’t even get IN a large – LOL.
