So, as previously mentioned I spent all day at the LA Food Fest yesterday selling my Stylesmith wares! The event was a roaring success, a little too successful some are saying, with waits up to 2 hours for food! The line to get in was craaazy, it started growing early (as a vendor I was there at 8am – the line began around 10am as far as I'm aware)
Above is a little video a took of the ever growing line…it did not get much shorter (if anything it just got longer) the whole day! (I should point out the video is not great..phone camera again, the line is behind the fence – the colourful dots in the background!)
It was a beautiful day though and despite the craziness I had a blast! We were parked next door to the lovely Hillary Danner (yep she's related!) of Highland Park boutique Studio Root66 & Jenkins Jellies (we got a phenomenal jalapeno jelly – my valentines day present!) and on the otherside we had the lovely Jen of Plastique, I got a FABULOUS Paris City-scape necklace that I cannot wait to wear! (pictured below – scuse the iphone picture!)
So for me I had nothing but fun in the sun…and made a bunch of money too. Food wise I did manage to wangle a couple before the crowds got too crazy, including some amazing (and super tiny) red velvet, choc chip pancakes and a buttermilk brick from The Buttermilk Truck and some Vegan Chilli Cheese Fries from FrySmith!
As for the outfit at the top of this post, keeping with my nautical valentine theme of late, I am wearing a stripy dress from Motel that I picked up in England last September, a Target cardigan, Hansel From Basel socks, Primark pumps and of course Stylesmith fascinator and locket! Fun fun fun!
