Yesterday was one of those days that I think some people believe happens to a blogger everyday. And maybe for some bloggers that's the case, but not for me. Sure I get to go to a lot of really fabulous events and sure I do get a lot of fabulous gifts. But yesterday? Yesterday was ridiculous. Ridiculous in the best possible way….
Leeza Gibbons talking us through some Sheer Cover products at Chateau Marmont
I began my day early with a bus trip over to Chateau Marmont. I have to say, throughout all this fabulousity, riding the bus is that one thing that keeps me grounded (and moving…haha) there's nothing like taking the bus to Chateau Marmont. I mean really. The reason I was headed to this infamous hotel was to join the effervescent Leeza Gibbons for breakfast to take a look at Sheer Cover cosmetics, of which Leeza is the representative.
She was utterly charming, such a personality, with so many story's to tell and so inspiring (and yet still had the grace to tell me I inspired her!) Of course I could leave without grabbing a swag bag full of Sheer Cover goodies which I will try out shortly and post my reviews here soon!
Some iPhone pics from my Tumblr in case you're not following it (umm why?!) Clockwise: New Silly Slapz Slap Watch from Silly Bandz gifted at the Kari Feinstein Lounge, Sorbet (breakfast dessert) at Chateau Marmont, My obsession with neon continues with neon socks, and the Chateau Marmont sign.
Audrey caught me on her iPhone struggling with my swag!
After breakfast my dear friend and sometimes business partner, Audrey, and I headed to the W Hollywood (with the top down y'all – most definitely a step up from the bus) for the MTV Movie Awards Kari Feinstein Style Lounge.
I've been to this lounge a few times, for the various award shows and always had an amazing time. But wow. This was one of the best one I've ever made it to. There were some amazing brands and I took home oodles of swag. Oodles. Over the next few weeks (It'll take a while) I'll review most of these individually – I even have a giveaway as thanks to my fat bum none of the clothes I gathered fit (and I thoroughly expect whomever wins to literally thank my fat bum!)
I got three of Essie's new polishes from their Braziliant collection and promptly went home to try all three! They had these chocolate balls to match the colours – how fun! I really want to try Absolutely Shore – the perfect Seafoam green!
Chocolates that look like jewels from Chocolatines.
I got beauty products from Murad, Dr Lewinn by Kinerase, Essie, Suki and Usana, snacks and treats from Popcorn Indiana, Zone Bar, Slender Pops, Sensible Portions and Chocolatines. An autographed copy of Maria Menounos' new book 'The Everygirl's Guide to Life'. Jeans from Silver, a skirt from this great Aussie brand 'Wish', a sweater from Vintage Havana.
The Waddler from Case Mate. Beyond cute. (Now I just need that iPhone 4 that Mr Style has promised me!)
I also got to make my own iPhone case (being mailed to me) and got this amazingly cute iPhone case called the 'Waddler' (pictured above) from Case Mate. Some of my other favourite treats from the day were: the truly gorgeous jewelry from Ryder Smith (coming to a Pavement Princess near you soon, because I'm never taking it off), air plants (they need NO water) from My Secret Garden, some fun rings and a slap watch from Silly Bandz annnnnd…. a Magic Bullet! I cannot wait to start using my Magic Bullet!
So you see, it was quite a remarkable day. Thanks so much to everyone that made it happen and stay tuned for a lot of reviews and a lot of pictures.

(For the record – I realise a lot of people will look at this and see it as boastful, greedy…blah di blah. I love blogging, I've made it my whole life, but I don't get paid for it, so I don't have an ounce of guilt regarding these days and gifts – but I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities blogging affords me and the brands that give me so much love – and I'm thankful for those of you who hang around to read about these kind of activities – which keeps me able to participate in these kind of activities – so lots of thank you's all round!)
Kelsi x
P.S Happy Birthday Daddy Style (that just doesn't work it, it sounds quite terrible! I mean my father!) I love you buckets and miss you tons. Can't wait for late night telly and chats when I get back to Blighty in August! Hugs and Kisses.
Great dress! I would love to see a photo if you on the bus with all that swag. Better yet, a photo of the confused passengers – Who is this fabulous girl and why does she ride the bus?
Thanks Jennie! On this occasion I was fortunate enough to get a ride home! My friend was afraid I’d get mugged for my Magic Bullet!
But I have done it on other ones, and people literally ask me outright why I have so much stuff! LOL.
Perfect slap watch, great gift and funny toy for children.I like them so much.
Loved that mobile cover.. Thats soo sweet..
Additionally they say it could mean something aside from the goddess herself. So it is anybody’s estimate.
