So… some of you might actually recognise this dress, it's practically the exact same dress I wore at Fashion's Night Out, the same silhouette (though I believe it was a little shorter) but in an entirely different fabric, I loved the heavy brocade fabric with the beautifully whimsical cut out floral detailing.
It's actually a long winded, not very interesting story as to how I ended up with dress – as you may have realised it's not the one of the ones I was choosing from, I had chosen the Badgley Mischka one in purple, when they arrived (in two sizes) neither fit correctly and both were defective (the larger size had the boning popping out, and the smaller size appeared to have twisted seams) I immediately got on the phone to Rent the Runway who were extraordinarily helpful (and for the record the customer service rep had no idea I had any affiliation with the company – and I didn't tell her – so this was standard customer service – her name was Camille and she rocked) she spent 30 minutes on the phone with me helping me pick out another dress (she understood exactly what I wanted with a few key questions) and this is what we ended up with – the perfect dress which they overnighted to me.
Anyhoo, needless to say I was a very happy bunny. I paired the dress with my Antoni + Alison purse (appropriately scathing…hahah) and my Fredericks of Hollywood Shoes.
Full disclosure: I rented this dress through Rent the Runway using my gift card – gifted to me at the Rent the Runway dinner.
