Let me preface this by saying before this challenge I had never left the house in sweatpants in my life. Seriously. You know me, at I'm a pretty dress girl, at worst I'm a jeans and t-shirt girl, and that's as casual as it gets. Unless I'm in the comfort of my own home and then sweatpants are my favourite thing.

So when Alexana of Dollimou challenged me to dress up a pair of sweatpants after my coverage of Dollimou's Designer Launchpad Show in March (where I stated perhaps sweatpants were on my 'to do' list of things to wear out of an evening) I knew it wasn't a challenge I'd find easy.

Surprisingly enough it actually wasn't hard to make these sweatpants look good. They're a nice cut, nice length and great colour. I teamed them with this Victoria's Secret blouse and my blue metallic New Look peep toe pumps. All together I looked good (the pants were a sample – so they would have looked better if my arse wasn't quite so large), it was a chic look and even Mr Style didn't take offense (he's made sweatpant jokes in the past – but he thought these looked good)

All of that said, I'm still not the kind of girl who can wear sweatpants out of the house – sorry Alexana! It was liberating, comfortable and despite looking good – just didn't feel right for me, doesn't mean I don't completely recommend someone else wearing them! But I DO desperatly want a pair of these comfy and soft sweatpants to lounge around the house in – I mean come on – it's the perfect outfit for a fashion blogger at home! Non?
