This season feathers aren't going anywhere in fact, if anything they're just getting bigger (phew! – my feather headbands are my best sellers!) The great thing about feathers is the versatility between trends. Depending on how you wear them they fit in with almost every key-look going on this season. Be it fairytale (sweeping feather skirts and clutches) armour (structured pieces with rich feather trims) or South Western Folk…which this week we are, of course, focusing on.
Feathers in the hair is the easiest way to wear this trend, from simple clips, to a headband, to a full feather head dress (I'm going to have to make myself one – DIY coming soon?!) It just depends how brave you are!
Trims on belts, jewelry and bags take it a little further, but in a subtler, pretty way and you could go all out and don a feather skirt or dress a la ADAM. I really want a feather skirt but again I'm thinking it'll be another DIY project!
For the less brave, or vegan (though you can get synthetic feathers!) try a feather print t-shirt (or socks) like the ones pictured above. Completely fabulous.
So go on let me see you shake your tail feather!…Sorry that was pretty lame but kind of hard to resist.
