Long socks, long socks everywhere, which one shall we choose? We had
long socks during AW0910 and you can continue to wear this trend
throughout SS10. And for the people who love their long socks, this is
a brilliant time to revamp your sock drawer with my selection of must
have long socks for the season.
AW0910 saw thick woolly socks
worn with military boots and wellingtons. And Hunter makes those
wonderful fleece wellington socks to line your Hunter wellingtons with.
But SS10 is far more chic than fleece. If you need to wear your
wellingtons on those wet spring mornings when you’re strolling to
University, work or the shops, opt for some knee high lace socks. Your
feet (and legs!) will thank you. They will turn those drab wellingtons,
in to wonderfully eye-catching pins.
The good thing about socks
this season, is that you can wear them with sandals and shoes too; even
if you’re wearing a dress. Fab, huh?
Lace knee-highs can work with
chunky strappy wedges, as well as some pretty court shoes. As I’ve said
with many trends, confidence is the key! Just when you began to start
dressing yourself, when you were about 5 or 6 maybe, you may have made
some fashion faux pas with long socks and sandals that got you laughed
at and bullied in the play yard. Well listen up bullies, you’ll be
wearing the long sock trend this season and here are some of my
favorites.
Team this trend with tea dresses, playsuits, shorts
and if you’re really brave, your boyfriends super long shirt. Good luck
ladies!
