Once again Unique LA played host to a bevy of fantastic independent design (and literally thousands of shoppers) whilst fashion was obviously on my mind I somehow managed to spend most of my time sampling and purchasing food, including amazing Smores cupcakes, rice pudding and some of the best jam ever from Lemonbird (strawberry and cinnamon!)
But I did find time for the fashion, when I wasn't taking silly pictures with my cohorts Emily and Teresa from The Style Map (see the top picture), and below is my top ten – in no particular order.
The fabulous Tess of 50 Dresses was a busy booth bunny selling her stunning dresses – plus some new designs. I can never get over how cute and affordable her designs are.
So much love, as always for Bijou Van Ness' perfect collection of millinery masterpieces!
Was instantly charmed by these mini oil paintings turned lockets from Charmed by Heidi.
I've admired the work by Homako for awhile via Etsy so it was wonderful to see her textile creations in person.
I fell head over heels for these designs by Loschy at the last Unique L.A but this time was able to make a purchase (this fox necklace) and some bracelets. Such a great collection – I'm in love with pink stag and the heavily detailed geometric designs. Fantabulous.
If I'd had $130 to spend on friend this Christmas, the darling Mr Cuit would have absolutely received one of these re-purposed LV Locks from Lux Revival….without a shadow of a doubt.
These beautiful laser cut pieces from FeistyElle are so prettily ethereal. I particularly loved the feathers!
Loving these stunning wood eyeglasses and sunglasses from Sires Crown – the gorgeous cracked painted ones are all a one of kind collaboration with a local artist.
Yvonne's latest Treacherous Minx collection (which I shot recently, as you can see here) is super cute and fun. Yvonne used vintage hosiery advertisements to create her designs. I, obviously, love.
How fabulous are these colourful, geometric bangles from Voz Clothing and Art? I want one in every colour!
