Another work day, another outfit. I actually overslept this morning (migraines…amirite?) and grabbed this vintage dress that I’ve had for a little while but not worn, I mostly grabbed it because it was the only thing that didn’t need ironing. When I have limited time to get ready, one of two things happen, I end up with a crazy mish mash outfit (that sometimes works) or I go super matchy matchy (which also sometimes works). This was the latter.
The dress is completely sheer so I popped a vintage petticoat underneath and added my super trusty, at a minimum a decade old, Vicini mock croc pumps (goes to show quality shoes are worth it…) and this amazing vintage bag.
This bag is probably one of my favourite vintage finds – hence the gratuitous bag shots. Remember the little store in Montrose I discovered last week? This was one of my finds. I can’t wait to go back and find more, the place is a treasure den. See why I was reluctant to share?!
Anyhow, not too shabby for something pulled together so fast, so this impromptu rooftop shoot was an entirely necessary work day interruption. I love how the shoe + purse shots ended up reminiscent of a vintage ad. So fun, I can’t believe I let this dress hang in my closet for so long without wearing it, but maybe it was waiting for this unimpressive, migraine-filled day, to make it special.
