This weeks 'What to Wear' is a little tongue in cheek, it's the Wimbledon fortnight, it's Summer, I'm reading Oscar Wilde and I'm homesick… So here we have 'What to Wear for Afternoon Tea' or 'What to Wear to Nom Cream Tea'
Cute skirt and blouse combo, suitably pale, close to tennis whites without feeling obliged to play tennis, has a little 20's feel, as do all of these outfits…stretching a little to the 30's.
How amazing are these reproduction vintage shoes?
Blouse: Dear Golden Vintage – $32, Skirt: Anthropologie – $228, Headband: Stylesmith – $29, Necklace: Abe and Elsie: $37, Purse: Moxie and Oliver – $55, Shoes: Remix Vintage Shoes – $198
Sticking with the twenties/thirties tennis vibe, this pretty and flirty handmade dress is too cute….and here's a little secret about ruffles…you'd think they'd make you look bigger, right? Wrong! Ruffles when worn in the right places can be very slimming and hide lots of lumps and bumps – yay!
Perfect sunhat, for lounging in the sun drinking those summer cocktails and the gorgeous round toe mary janes, my favourite style of shoe.
Dress: Good Morning – $124, Straw Hat: $30 – Stylesmith,
Necklace: Artisan Field – $39,
Purse: Jennyn Design – $168, Shoes: Modern Vintage via Piperlime – $139.99

Purse: Jennyn Design – $168, Shoes: Modern Vintage via Piperlime – $139.99
Last but not least our perfect, obligatory under $150 outfit, sticking with the retro vibe, a very cute simple dress with a little extra frou frou. The cute headband can be worn across the forehead as pictured or over the head. Simple bangles give a little flash to the outfit and a perfect vintage purse tops it all off.
How gorgeous are these Mary Janes from my favourite cheap shoe provider!?
Dress: Forever 21 – $30, Headband: Yes Jess – $7,
Bangles: Periphery Designs – $20,
Vintage Purse: Lost Closet – $16, Shoes: Plasticland – $49

Wow. I love all these romantic, ruffled tea looks! You’re making me crave scones and sipping Darjeeling out of floral ceramics now.
I think you hit it right on the nose with the secret flattery of ruffles – I’m a huge fan! and every outfit on this post is a winner for me!!
