Ive had a lot on my radar lately, but here are somethings that have really been inspiring me lately.
-I got this little leopard print number at Forever 21 a few weeks ago. It has this cute little swing to it and makes me feel so vintage-y and fun. Ive never been one to be into animal print and somehow adding some to my wardrobe feels fresh and fun. Also, most people who have asked me about it haave thought it was "old". So… thats wonderfully desceptive.
-I'm obsessed with sassy little vintage cocktail numbers. I want to go to parties and feel like I stepped out of a different era.
-This curly haired girl is a photograph from this article by Garance Dore. I was so inspired by it, I've started to stop battling my curl and embrace its natural texture. Embracing my hair has got me thinking of other ways I can accentuate what I've got, not constantly think of how I can interpret some other standard of beauty.
-Ok, this 90's photo is so awkward. Forgive me. However, the focus here is on the HAIRWRAPS. Do you remember those? I mean, little girls still go to Disneyland and get them done, but they have a rather fun effect in "grown-up" hair. I put one in for a 90's themed birthday party this summer and ended up leaving it in, it just looked cool.
-The XX. I have to share. Their music is so different and evocative. Simple and Complex.
-Lisa Mitchell won Australian Idol (Admitedly I dont know when) and her music is so precious and sweet and good mood inducing. Check out this ADORABLE music video!
-Calvin Klein Euphoria- I love this scent, it is so beautiful to me. Every time I put it on, it reminds me of so many things. I get terribly inspired by the past, and nothing triggers memories more than a scent.
-Francoise Hardy. She's an obvious Icon and will continue to inspire me but right now I'm especially digging her general aesthetic.
Ok, so whats inspring you guys! Let me know!
