  • On our way to dinner in Havana back in March we came across a dance school hosting a night of tango and what was effectively an open mic night for seniors. We sat captivated as these ladies and gents sang love songs with such vigor and passion. It was intense. I didn't understand the language, but I understood the sentiment. This gentlemen was particularly special. So emotive. . Trump's announcement today sets us back decades. 60 years of embargo has done nothing to improve the lives of the Cuban people. And whilst Obama's changes hadn't significantly changed Cuban policy in a year. The change in the people was evident. From our first visit to our second. There was hope. There was an attitude shift. People were making money and outside connections. Future's that once seemed out of reach were being manifested. Change was coming. Slowly but surely. Make no mistake. Trump's policy won't affect the Cuban government, it will affect this man. It will affect the people. . Fuck Trump. Viva Cuba. My heart breaks. . #havana #vivacuba #cuba
