I've been invited by Katy of Modly Chic to partake in 'Friend Friday' a new series in which bloggers are invited to answer weekly questions and post answers on our blogs.
Here is this weeks Q&A:
Since this is the first one and the weather everywhere is finally shaping up, let's talk Spring.
1. What is your favorite trend this Spring?
Floral prints! I've been a sucker for a floral print practically my entire life, or at least once I graduated from my tomboy phase. There's nothing like a tea dress with a pretty print. That said I wear them all the time, so the fact that it's on trend means very little to me – only that they're in plentiful supply!
2. What clothing item are you excited to pull out of storage and use again this Spring?
Well, I live in Los Angeles where we're fairly seasonless, there's not much I can't wear, given the right accessories, all year round. However we have had some cold spells of late, so it'll be nice to bust out some summery dresses minus jackets and tights…ooh and I have some fantastic sandals that are always nice to wear as the weather warms up.
3. What's your favorite part about this time of the year.
In LA we get warm days that aren't too hot (summer is horrid here) and there's still a light breeze and a freshness in the air. We have been having some rain lately too which is very refreshing when living in a desert climate.
I love the flowers too, I recently visited Carlsbad to see the flower fields there and it was so beautiful. There's something about Spring that offers an awakening and you can shake off the cobwebs of the winter and start afresh.
4. What trend will you not be rocking?
I'm quite in love with all the current Spring trends so this is actually a hard one to answer. I tend to avoid the hard, 'rocker' type aesthetic that has trickled over from Fall/Winter but then again it really depends on my mood. I'm unlikely to wear anything to tight, my thighs won't let me and I regrettably cannot wear rompers thanks to my height ~ le sigh.
5. If you could be any flower what would you be and why.
Well since visiting the flower fields I have to say ranunculus, each one is so different and they come in a wide variety of colours, the layers and ruffles are so full of depth and they're just ridiculously pretty!
See? Super pretty right?! I shot this at The Flower Fields on my birthday using my new macro lenses!
Well, that's all folks. Until next time.
