Seated, front row, downstairs in the glorious Los Angeles Theatre of Downtown Los Angeles, Brittan and I waited with anticipation for the Chelsea Rebelle show to begin.
Never a fan of the typical electronic catwalk music, when the beat started it was a pleasant surprise. The music was fabulous throughout, especially the shows title song 'David Bowies 'Oh You Pretty Things'.
Ok, so the important part…the clothes. As with Chelsea Rebelles previous collections the items all kicked a punchy attitude. The collection had ultimately a 90's girly goth vibe. Leather and denim apron dresses worn with chunky boots, pretty lace blouses, worn completely sheer in a completely rock and roll move. Many of the dresses echoed that same 80's power woman structure we've been seeing. But this was in a youthful, fabulous manner. With a palette of black, cream and hot pink.
The collection was one my favourite in terms of attitude and having a real point of view. You really know who Chelsea Rebelle is, and that's an achievement as a designer.
The show stopping finale dress was a dream. Structured from shoulder to hem, amazing structured, voluminous skirt, covered in what can only be described as rock glitter with a fabulous exposed zipper. I want this dress.
Also of note were the leather bikini, the fabulously constructed cream and hot pink bikini (yes please) and the structured dress, the cream with structured cups and the black with the cut outs. All pictured below. And of course it has to be mentioned. It's those Payless boots again!
My favourites from the collection
Lots more to come from fashion week later and over the weekend!

Hey Cody!
It’s not actually a video it’s an animated gif (that I made all by myself – sorry feeling proud!) so you should be able to pull it right off same as you would a photo – but remember to credit me!
