On Saturday – whilst getting ready for the Blush Boutique event I was hosting (more on that later) I fell victim to the "too much time to get ready" trap.
I knew, first and foremost, that I wanted to wear my new NEON yellow lace skirt from ASOS, I'm quite obsessed with it, but I'd spent very little time working out what I was going to wear with it. I started with chambray – too saturated next to the vibrancy of a fluorescent, I moved on to white – not too bad, but the shirt didn't work…black, too contrasty. So neon on neon?
YES.
But the craziness didn't stop there. I couldn't decide between my brand new Melody Ehsani earrings or my DIY'd chandelier necklace. So I went with both. Then, if that wasn't enough, I threw on my DIY'd rainbow crystal cuff for good measure.
NUTS.
But THEN. I threw in some leopard print for some extra PIZZAZZ.
Made. Of. Awesome.
It kind of works. Non? Screw Coco Chanel and her "remove one item" rule… I say pile it on.
;)
What I Wore: Neon Skirt: ASOS, Pink Shirt: J.Crew, Earrings: Melody Ehsani, Necklace and Cuff: DIY'd, Leopard Belt: Forever 21, Leopard Shoes: Topshop.
