We're taking a Po'boy and air conditioning break in the hotel room, after walking around the French Quarter in New Orleans for the past five hours, so decided to post a quick "Pavement Princess" of what I wore today.

I love this ASOS maxi dress – I've worn it several times already (and it's only been in my possession for a couple of weeks!) I paired it with my brand new (courtesy of) pointed toe Keds sneakers. I love them – comfy, preppy, stylish – and the pointed toe makes them so unique (they're a replica of one of their styles in the sixties)

My hair is hilariously frizzy here. I thought I was just learning how to manage my curls, but nope, turns out it's just California's lack of humidity, Louisiana is playing havoc with my mane.

Ok. I'm going to finish this Po'boy, drink this, Louisiana brewed, strawberry beer and relax. This evening we're going to explore the Voodoo side of New Orleans and hunt down some veggie Gumbo!
