Last week I was invited to attend the Kari Feinstein Style Lounge for the MTV Movie Awards at the Montage in Beverly Hills. It was a glorious sunny day and I took Jennifer Margolin of Red Sole Diary along to enjoy the event with me.
Jennifer and I had a lovely time flitting from booth to booth chatting to representatives and picking up some fab presents along the way – these were some of my faves from the day.
Jen and I enjoying our Joy Sticks (because everyone loves an eating shot)
Jennifer and I made a bee line for the icecream…of course. Joy Sticks is amazing in it's sheer simplicity (and yumminess) Ice cream on a stick – dipped in melted chocolate and then dipped in your choice of toppings. Jen and I both went nuts for the nuts. So yummy!
Over at the Superdry booth, I was impressed by the soft, soft cotton and preppy styles from this UK label, Jennifer picked out a lovely cotton sundress (that just wasn't going to contain my boobage) and I opted for this on trend safari style jacket (pictured above) Perfectly lightweight for Summer nights.
The Capella Hotel booth had both Jennifer and I dreaming of escaping to Cabo San Lucas. This luxury hotel is accessed by a 300 metre tunnel which took several years to carve through the mountain.
The hotel boasts 66 rooms, a spa and personal assistants for guests – true luxury. I was especially enamored with the idea of spending a romantic evening on the beach, with my own private fire – all set up by the hotel (pictured above)
Jennifer Love Hewitt wearing rings by Jewels by Park Lane
Jewels by Park Lane had a vast array of baubles featuring many styles – from bohemian to sheer bling. I opted for a bling ring (the one Jennifer Love Hewitt is wearing – third along and pictured below) So pretty.
My very own bling from Jewels by Park Lane.
Tori Spelling at Infinity Sun
Over at Infinity Sun we picked up some at home tanning products – but I was unable to try out their spray tan – thanks to the fact I was already tanned by their at home system for our Self Tanning article coming next week! But you can see how great my at home tan was in the top picture – and I'll be trying out the spray tan soon enough!
Anna Lynne McCord tries on some Dekkori Shoe Accessories
I think quite possibly my most favourite stop was at Dekkori. I posted my outfit picture from dinner the other night and I was wearing these, spats – or accessories for your shoes – and I've had so many compliments on my shoes but they're not shoes, they're these fantastic spats on quite basic black sandals! – amazing!
The designer, the lovely Samantha Kim, was on hand to help celebs and humble writers such as myself wrap her pretty creations around our clodhoppers. Samantha was wearing an amazing jacket with chains covering the lapels – wish I'd snapped a picture (we weren't allowed to bring cameras)
Me in my Dekkori's!
Other fantastic sponsors included Dr Loretta (skincare), Kamal (gorgeous paper goods), Mitchell and Ness (retro styled sportswear) and Paleta (gourmet, organic personal chefs)
Thanks to Feinstein and McGuiness PR for extending us an invitation, we had a fabulous time.
What I'm Wearing (Top Picture): Lace Dress – Forever 21, Bow Bangle – Forever 21, Cameo Ring – Handmade, Shoes – Vintage.
