Y'all know I love me some Rent the Runway, so when I got a chance to spend some time with the team again (I attended a dinner last year with Jenny – one of the CEO's and Co-founder's) I jumped at the chance and joined them for cocktails at Public in the Roosevelt Hotel.

This time around we were treated to the company of Jenn – the other CEO and Co-Founder – because apparently they're both so fabulous if they were in same room and the same time the world would implode (I made that up)

I had a really fabulous and excessively inspiring chat with Jenn as she shared what it's like to be a woman going after Venture Capital funding and spending time in the boys club – not an easy feat, but something Rent the Runway has been able to do – to much success. We discussed the word "no" and how frequently we as business women (and I'm sure as men too) hear that – but not to get disheartened and keep trying. A message I really needed to hear right there and then.

No idea what I'm doing here, other than fawning over Jenn…

Bellini's Spell Trouble….

Needless to say I walked away with quite a girl crush. And a bit of an issue with my sobriety thanks to these fabulous cocktails and my empty stomach (they were called "Peach Bellini's"  – which I sloppily informed everyone was incorrect as Bellini's are inherently Peach Bellini's as that's what makes them Bellini's..and I should know because I had about ten…)

Past the business world and Bellini's we talked about the changes Rent the Runway has been through in the past year – the collection of accessories to rent has expanded to include more jewelry (starting at $10 for some very fancy jewels) and now purses too. They've also begun to sell (not rent, because that would be gross) intimates such as Spanx and Commando's and most recently Lancome beauty products and "Fashion Solutions" such as the ubiquitous "tit tape".

All in all Rent the Runway has become a one stop shop for affordable glamour so everyone can achieve that Cinderella moment – with ease and on a budget. Plus – through a new initiative if more than ten girls rent dresses for one specific event – they'll send you your very own photographer to capture your celebrity moments!

It's been wonderful to see such an amazing company, with a really innovative idea, grow leaps and bounds and I can't wait to see what they've got up their sleeves for the next round!
