It's the first time Ugg Australia has produced a line of apparel for Spring/Summer, and the first time I was even aware they made apparel!
It has to be said I'm not a fan of the infamous Ugg boot – that's not to say I haven't owned a pair – I owned a pair that I wore when I lived in a country with winters that could hit below freezing – they're very practical shoes – I just do not understand when I see them worn with mini skirts or shorts!
All of that said – Ugg has impressed me in the past with their other footwear – I have a pair of their clogs – and really love their non-boot footwear, particularly the sandals pictured above.
The clothing isn't what I'd describe as "fashion clothing" – it's mostly casual basics, in super soft luxe fabrics – perfect for post beach wear and vacations. In fact what I kept declaring was – how perfect they'd all be for a trip down to Salcombe in South Devon, England, where I'm headed this summer, a coastal town with a beachy/sailing vibe.
I was torn between the white cable knit hoodie, pictured above, and the crocheted wrap cardigan, pictured below. Ultimately I opted for the wrap cardigan as I felt it would merge more seamlessly into my wardrobe – as opposed to the cable hoodie, which would mostly be appropriate for beach days and holidays. I was right and I've already worn the cardigan three times, including right now, as I'm typing!
I'll share some more pictures of the cardi – dressed up, later today.
