Happy New Year Y’all.

As a little New Year gift to you, I wanted to share my favourite tunes from 2014. These songs, not necessarily released this past year, have been my most played of this year (literally though, Spotify informed me with glee that The 1975’s “Sex” was my most played song of 2014)

There’s a few themes, the most prominent one being nostalgia. Nostalgia for youth and lack of responsibilities. Not unremarkable given that 2014 was the year I turned 30.

Notably absent is Taylor Swift, her entire back catalog, whilst frequently on repeat, wouldn’t make the most interesting playlist so she has been omitted.
