Beach weddings, they're more common than you might think, and they throw up quite the predicament. but nope, a beach wedding does not mean you are permitted to wear your bikini and your sarong (though some might so if you're really insistent double check!)

So what do you wear? Beach suggests warmth, it suggests comfy. It also has practicality restrictions. Some beach weddings can be quite formal, so it's always best, as with all of these examples, to ask the bride if in doubt.

The first outfit falls towards the more formal end of the beach wedding spectrum.

This dress is one of the nicest I've seen whilst shopping recently. Very gorgeous blue, really beautiful texture (yup I've felt this one!) It's also a very good shape and will work for ladies all proportions. It has a natural waist, a good slimming V and nice wide straps. The small chevron pattern is also very slimming.

The shoes keep the outfit elegant and the jewelry and purse add that rustic beachy feel to the look.

Now some beach weddings will be much less formal, the next look has a much more laid back vibe, quite 'hippy chic' (I hate that phrase but it fits nonetheless)

I know, I know, a white dress (well almost white)? It's a controversial subject but I don't believe it's very important. I think you can wear white, I think what you can't do is wear anything resembling a wedding dress. And really what kind of a crazy person goes to a wedding (which is not their own) dressed as a bride?

I'm a big Karen Zambos fan, this dress is very pretty, very simple and would certainly be useful way past a one day wedding. Which is what we're after right? Bang for our buck. The belt is a lovely accessory for this, it dresses up the outfit, but is still cute, feminie and remains with the tone of the outfit.

The shoes and bag, toughen it up, but the floral details keep it pretty, and the pops of orange in the jewelry brighten up the entire look (plus I'm somewhat in love with that bracelet)

The last outfit, is of course our bargain outfit, a nice blend of the two looks above, suitable for all shapes and most sizes. Best of all. The whole thing is under $100. Will the next one be $50?!
