My first Winter in Oregon was my first Winter in a very long time. After 12 years in Los Angeles it was a season I was longing for, so I was so ready. And it didn’t disappoint. Not one bit.
Trillium Lake in the Snow
A hike in the snow down to Trillium Lake with Laura, Jordan, Jenny and Blue. This last shot was not exactly a miracle of nature, it was shot using my camera and a crystal prism to get the reflection.
Up At Timberline Lodge
Winter Fun in Portland
When the first snow came, I ran outside and played in the dark like a little kid as Portland became enveloped in snow.
This magical experience was at PNCA. A light and sound bath created by Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne. It was so good I went twice.
Playing in the soaking pool at Edgefield.
New Years Eve and New Years Day
My jet-lagged self threw a NYE party, I made two lasagnas, fed a dozen people dinner and went to bed by midnight. The next day Joe cooked me a Southern New Years Day feast and in the evening we went up to Mount Tabor to check out the super moon.
Skiing at Meadows
Meadows feels like a Portlander right of passage, I was extremely rusty having not skied for 10 years (and only twice ever) but I did it. I definitely need more practice.
Alright, enough of winter. It’s summer now (supposedly). And so much more to share.
