I've been a fan of the work of Inka Sherman of ISM Mode for some time now and always look forward to her installations.
This season, being the publicist for Concept, left little time to peruse collections as I would if I was attending as press, but I did get glimpses during set up before the frenzy ensued and was able to get up close and personal with some of the pieces earlier this year at the Pool Tradeshow.
I adore how Inka has married a feminine vintage aesthetic with wearable "easy" clothing – and the fact that ISM Mode is an eco line is an added bonus.
The overall aesthetic of the installation was simple but impactful – the checkerboard floor and avant garde hats (a collaboration between Inka and Averi Bell of Chemline) gave the presentation a whimsical Alice in Wonderland chess game appeal.
My favourite piece has to be the draped striped dress – I'm a sucker for a stripe and the cut and drape is universally flattering.
Looking forward to even more Inka over the next few seasons!
