L.A Fashion Collective, a venture by Lauren Stillman and James Campbell, aims to showcase the best of L.A Fashion in an intimate environment wherein the viewer (a room full of press, buyers and stylists) gets to view the collections up close in a non harried, relaxed evening.
Pleasant, social and and perfect for viewing clothes and people watching!
Alexx Jae and Milk
Alexx Jae and Milk is a locally based, eco friendly line, that blends the perfect amount of hipster cool, with an equally perfect amount of feminine chic, aka, Kelsi's favourite genre.
I particularly loved the loose leather shorts and button downs.
Katie May
Katie May creates gloriously feminine garments with an "old timey" aesthetic. Dramatic sleeves, high waists and wide legs are clearly Seventies inspired, whilst the strong palette of reds and tonal blacks create a very modern look.
Pleasure Doing Business
I loved Pleasure Doing Business' take on girly whimsy, or what I'm going to call "refined ruffles". This striped bandage dress is gorgeous (even if it is completely unwearable on my body type)
The huge ruffles, dramatic sleeves and off the shoulder cuts felt very "Flamenco" in a gorgeous, high fashion way not a kitsch scary way. Beautiful.
