The jewels in the Sophie Monet collection don't aspire to belong in a crown, they don't dream of adorning a princess, their one true desire is to merge modern aesthetics with nature in all it's glory and adorn you (of course you might be princess…but really it's fine)
Handcrafted wooden necklaces and rings, combined with semi precious stones such as turquoise and agate, make the collection both rustic and modern. Mid century modern converges with Kenyan warrior to produce one of the most beautiful collections of jewelry I have seen in a very long time.
I love the refined nature of the pieces, each one a work of art, made by hand. But what's more impressive is the sheer bulk of the pieces, this jewelry is chunky, no doubt about it, but it's not overpowering. Impressive and subtle…beats Tiffany's any day. At least in this urban, modern, warrior princesses book anyhow.

i love the rings… i think it’s because of the materials… wood is such a tricky material to make into rings. i appreciate this kind of design. i loved your final remark with the urban princess… too true!
