Tuesday night Brittan and I attended the Louver show.
The show was impeccably styled, with a nautical theme, borrowing shapes and shades from the Eighties. The first few looks to walk were sailor inspired, navys and whites, jumpsuits and dresses trimmed with military buttons all of which were cute, and very wearable. I particularly loved the hair styling, with chains draped from the up do's.
As the collection progressed down the catwalk the looks became more feminine and more formal. Verdad's muses for the collection were Michelle Obama and Oprah, this became very apparent with the shapes and structures and the collection began to evolve in age becoming less youthful and more mature. I really felt the collection was extremely appropriate for the muses for whom he designed for. Whilst I think Michelle Obama and Oprah have a wonderful sense of style, it isn't particularly youthful, and for me personally this is where the collection lacked.
There was a definite St Tropez in the late Seventies, early Eighties vibe, many of the looks completely appropriate for those extravagant parties aboard yachts, very Bianca Jagger-esqe, at least that's where my mind wandered!
Some looks from the show (scuse the pictures I had some camera and visual issues!)
A wonderfully styled fashionista – check out those boots!!!
Brittan (top photos) and myself (bottom photos) rocking some fall trends in ACTUAL fall weather! I'm a little obsessed with my pleather pants and Brittan rocked her green velvet jacket.
More from fashion week to come so stay tuned!
